BK's Statement: I adopted the United States as my country and became a naturalized citizen in 1977. I have seen both sides of the world: the free side, and the repressed side. There is no other country on earth where hard-working people can have more opportunities for fulfillment and success. I feel a deep sense of obligation to preserve our democracy as envisioned in the Constitution, and to work at making this an even better land for our children and our grandchildren. I am honored to have this opportunity to apply my unique world perspective, expertise and talents to public service.
